Meet Glinda!

Glinda Upland is a beautiful, confident, and charming young woman who is known for her popularity and bubbly personality. She comes from a privileged upbringing and is admired by her fellow students at Shiz University. Although Glinda cares deeply about her appearance and social status, she is kind-hearted and grows as she experiences new relationships and challenges.

Glinda attends Shiz University, where she quickly becomes one of the school's most popular students. At first, she doesn't have much in common with Elphaba and doesn't get along with her. However, after the two are assigned to share a room, Glinda and Elphaba develop a close bond. Their unexpected friendship becomes an important part of Glinda's journey and changes the way she views herself and those around her.

At Shiz, Glinda also meets Fiyero, a charming and carefree prince who immediately catches her attention. Glinda becomes interested in Fiyero and enjoys the attention that follows him. As the story continues, Fiyero develops a deeper connection with Elphaba, creating tension between the three.

During her time at Shiz, Glinda catches the attention of Madame Morrible, who views Glinda as vulnerable, impressionable, and a way to get closer to Elphaba. As Elphaba becomes increasingly aware of the unjust treatment of the Animals of Oz, Glinda finds herself caught between supporting her friend and maintaining her place in society. Madame Morrible and the Wizard eventually use Glinda's popularity and influence to help create the image of her as a "Good Witch" and gain public support for their actions.

After Elphaba is labeled the "Wicked Witch of the West," Glinda is given the title of the "Good Witch" and becomes a beloved figure throughout Oz. Glinda knows that Elphaba is not the wicked person they believe she is to be. She eventually recognizes the importance of standing up for what is right and carries the lessons she learned from her friendship with Elphaba as she takes on her new role in Oz.
